QR Code generator for restaurant menus

A menu QR Code is a static code that opens your digital menu the moment a guest points a phone camera at it — no app to install and nothing to type. Generate one below, free, with no account and no expiry date on the code.

Generate your QR Code

Paste the destination link and, optionally, fill in the UTM parameters.

Works with any address: website, landing page, menu, catalog, form, playlist or social profile.

UTM parameters

optional

UTMs tell Google Analytics where each visit came from. Leave them blank if you do not need tracking.

Where the traffic comes from: instagram, google, flyer, newsletter.

The kind of media: qrcode, social, cpc, email.

The campaign name, identical across all of its channels.

How to create a QR Code for your menu

Put your menu at a web address you control, paste that address into the generator on this page, and download the PNG.

The destination can be anything that opens in a browser: a page on your own site, a PDF you host, an online ordering page or a link to your delivery partner. What matters is that you can edit whatever sits at that address later, because the printed code will always point there.

Avoid pointing the code at a file whose name changes each time you update it. If your menu lives at /menu and you replace the contents of that page every season, one printed code lasts forever. If it lives at /menu-spring-2026.pdf, you buy yourself a reprint every season.

Why a static QR Code is the right choice for a menu

A static code stores the address inside the drawing itself, so it keeps working for as long as your page exists and costs nothing to keep alive.

Many QR generators hand you a dynamic code instead. Those point at the provider's server, which then redirects to you — convenient, but it means the code stops working the day the trial ends, the plan lapses or the provider shuts down. For something printed and laminated onto every table, that is a real risk with a real cost.

The generator on this page only produces static codes. Nothing routes through FlyB, there is no account to keep active, and the code cannot be switched off by us. The trade-off is the honest one: to change the destination you change the page, not the code.

What size to print it and where to put it

Print the code at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide, keep the white margin around it, and place it where a seated guest can reach it without standing up.

Table tents, the corner of a physical menu, the window and the counter all work. The one placement that reliably fails is a code printed small on a poster across the room — scanners need the code to fill a decent part of the frame, and distance kills that quickly.

If you run more than one placement, build a separate link for each using the UTM fields in the generator. Tagging the table tent as utm_source=table and the window as utm_source=window tells you in Google Analytics which one people actually scan.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to reprint the QR Code when a price or a dish changes?

No, as long as the code points at a page you can edit. The code carries the address, not the menu, so changing what that page says changes what guests see. You would only reprint if the address itself changed.

Does a menu QR Code work without an app?

Yes. Every current iPhone and Android reads QR Codes straight from the built-in camera app, so a guest just points and taps the notification that appears. Nobody needs to download anything.

How much does a QR Code for a menu cost?

Nothing here. The generator is free and unlimited, with no sign-up, no watermark and no credit card, and the PNG is yours to use commercially — including printed on every table in the restaurant.
